Because Breezes sits on the southeast coast, the tide changes dramatically across the day and shifts with the season — at low tide the water can recede hundreds of metres. For the classic turquoise-water backdrop in your photographs, we plan beach ceremonies and couple portraits around high tide. We check the tide chart for your exact date before locking your ceremony time, so the sea is in frame when you say your vows.
A Zanzibar wedding involves three moving parts: the couple's documents, the resort's events team, and the government registrar (the legal paperwork is handled through the offices in Stone Town, roughly 1.5 hours from Bwejuu). We coordinate all three — collecting your certificates early, confirming the registrar's availability and fees, and aligning the legal signing with the resort's ceremony schedule — so nothing stalls on the day.
The equatorial midday sun is harsh and high. We favour late-afternoon ceremonies that flow into a golden-hour portrait session and a beachfront dinner — far kinder light, and a natural rhythm into the evening reception.
